Stu Cooper

Exiled from my home planet for [text removed for reasons of decency], I’m currently stranded on Earth where my special powers are disappointingly restricted to an ability to [more bad stuff removed], so I’m barely surviving on my wits, being an experienced sketch writer, and a day job. In the hope I am one day allowed to return home, I am still finding the time to [text deleted – I mean, really].

I’ve had radio material broadcast by the BBC on Lewis Macleod’s Wired News, Tilt, Recorded for Training Purposes (Series 3 and as a commissioned writer on Series 4) and various series of Newsjack, and also been recorded for ‘bincast’ on a couple of others.

I was one of the writers on the recent Rough Cuts podcast by The Comedy Unit and The Football Special on Zubox TV, and most podcastingly exciting for anyone reading this site, am a writer and script editor on the ‘Live From Kirrin Island’.

On the stage, I’m one of the core writing team for the wonderful Teak Show, and have also had material in Radio Rejects and The Works. With my topical hat on, I’ve had loads of songs and sketches on NewsRevue (“the world’s longest-running live comedy show”) and Treason Show, including annual ‘Best Of’ shows for both, the Berlin Treason Show and, loveliest of all, the 30th anniversary NewsRevue show.

I also have some sitcoms in development, but you can’t read them yet.
